With around 17,000 islands and several different species of Aquilaria, Indonesia is the oud lover’s dream land. No two islands have the same exact type of agarwood, and different mountains on Borneo island exhibit different oud scents.
Indonesian oud can be sweet, floral, smoky, green, cool, chocolaty, turpentine-smelling. We have come across specimens that smelled like diesel. And in between all of these scent groups there are muddy segments that lack any refinement or interest.
We wanted an oud that would represent the collective Indonesian archipelago of islands. An oil balancing between the cool floral tones of the finest Papua oils and the sweet honey notes of the rarest Borneo scent. An oil devoid of any harshness, muddiness, or turpentine notes. We believe this is the perfect choice.
Such a sweet, rich, exotic fragrance... and the price is right, too! This is truly one of my favorites, and I wear it often. – B. Ali, CA
I love the nuanced, flowery quality of the Archipelago, and its affordable price will allow me to wear it regularly. – L. Nichol, NM
