Thick spread of fig jam, plums and nectarines. And raw tupelo honey. A resinous amber undercurrent. The precious woods dry down makes you tingle. Cambodi addicts beware!
There are moments it smells so fruity it reminds me of the purple bubble gum we used to chew in junior high school. Or rosy lipstick. Or strawberry jam. Or cola.
If you don’t believe in aromatherapy, this oil is bound to change that. Take a swipe of Oud Yusha and see if you’re not blissing out instantly. It’s the happiest Oud I’ve ever smelled.

This is probably your friendliest oud oil to date. The opening has a translucency and cleanness hardly seen in cultivated oils. With the first whiffs, I am greeted with a basket of red and purple fruits, ripe and enticing. The scrumptious scent of juicy plums and red grapes fills the air. I was quite surprised to find a note that I have never encountered before in oils from this region: apples. Or more specifically, Red Delicious apple rind. A clean oudy woodiness carries the scent from opening to dry down. I have noticed that most oils from this region develop a sourness after about an hour on the skin, but this oil maintains the cleanness that it started out with. If there's one oud that could be worn indoors and outdoors, and enjoyed by one and all without worrying about smelling 'too exotic', this is it. I have no doubt that you’ll be able to continue to produce organic ouds of the same calibre as, or even better than wild ouds. – Taha Syed, Toronto
As for the Yusha, I have it on this morning. I put three tiny drops, one on each arm and one on my mustache and beard. The opening notes are deep sweet fruit (ripe figs) being filtered through a smoky amber. Little woofs of Borneo high notes linger around the edges very faintly. This is neither a strong nor complex Oud but rather airy cheerful and has the ‘Chi’ of youth. It’s been almost two hours on my skin and by now the fruits have gone and what’s left is a quiet luxurious hazy wood smoke. Imagine a scene of rice fields at sunset in the foreground and thick green jungle in the background with white color lifting stacks of light smoke gently arising from husks of spent harvest. Kind of like a scene from Apocalypse Now without the war. This is an Oud I can wear every day and that will bring me a lot of happiness. Please accept my best regards to you and Ensar for the excellent standard you guys maintain in your work. – Hisham Suliman, FL
Yusha is ultra fruity. I don’t smell all the notes listed but bubble gum, lipstick and plums are certainly evident. I’d include cherry lifesavers, an almost menthol smell, cinnamon warmth and vanilla in the drydown as easily identifiable notes. The opening includes a faint mineral and latex scent but they are very fleeting and certainly don’t characterize the oud. Think cherry candy and powdery woods. – Isabella Lee, NY
