I was delighted to hear that you are a Sufi, although I should have known given your passion for authenticity and our favorite doorway to the Divine - Oud. As you well know, many Americans are now familiar with Sufi poetry through some very fine translations of Rumi and others. Sadly, perhaps it is only through the Sufi expression that we may know Islam a bit better than we do. The poetry is sublime and "true" on so many levels and your glorious Oud helps access some of the psychic space within ourselves where the resonances of God and Art reside. Oud, your Oud, (I wouldn't know about any others nor am I interested in any others, only your Oriscent Oud I want) brings an increase in self awareness; whereas perfume just makes us fragrant, it does not relax us or awaken us. Oud does this. I feel Oud offers a strong powerful way to reconnect or balance ourselves from an unfocused state of mind to a focused state of mind. The way we view life and act can be profoundly altered if we bring Oud into our lives. Oud helps us to awaken and evolve spiritually. Just a note to say 'thank you' for the Oud samples, which arrived in record time: around 8 days from order placement, from the US to Australia (Easter break included) - impressive.

I very much enjoyed each oil, some more than others... The Oud Royale, for which I just placed an order, the Borneo 3000 and Archipelago were particularly fine. All the samples offered strikingly multifaceted bouquets and uniqueness.

This is the first time I've sampled real agarwood oil, so I have little basis for comparison, but the purity and quality of all the Oud oils you sent me was obvious. Agarwood is indeed a complex, enigmatic thing, and no wonder it is reputed to be impossible to properly synthesize. When I sampled the Oud Royale, for example, what at first appeared to be slightly pungent and somewhat sour woodsiness abruptly transformed into warm, smooth, pleasantly intoxicating earthiness - quite enchanting!

I look forward to receiving the Oud Royale.

Most have been inferior, some have been good, but none of them come close to the quality of your oils. PS: Do you have any idea on how I can extract the amber from my ambergris stone? I bought one a year ago and I found many recipes for extracting it with alcohol. But I am looking for a way without alcohol. Otherwise I have no idea what to do with the stone, even though it smells nice...(like the ambergris oil you sold me)

The Amber you sent me, I can tell that it was made from a high grade ambergris stone (not like the one I bought from Mecca, which was made from a low quality amber stone) it is very nice and smells exactly like the high quality ambergris stone I have at home!

Thank you for your good advice. The scents are everything you promised. Since fragrance is a kind of hobby of mine, this Oud adventure has ruined me for more traditional scents.

I think it is because the Oud is the closest thing to the various scents of the human body (like them or not) and after all these years it turns out that that is what I have been looking for! Not cover-up scents but enhancements of what is already there.

It has been great fun and I look forward to receiving the Pure Indian Oud and again thank you for your useful information. This is a new and fascinating area of study for me.
